Struts are illegal. 'Hardtail' is normally a bike chassis designed without shocks from the get go, and is designed to flex due to the tear drop shape of it. It's illegal because the rear wheel won't stay in contact with the ground under rough surfaces. Seat, I haven't had any worries with WOF. But I've heard you have to remove the rear pillion pegs since it's a solo now.
Did you need to get a cert for changing shocks to struts ? and changing seat ?
